""Do White people even play golf?" one X user asked, after viewing Nike's website, which features all things golf, and finding the lack of diversity ..." (1) Professional golf tours, particularly the PGA and LPGA, remain predominantly white, with estimates suggesting around 80–89% of PGA Tour players are white. While Asian (11%) and Hispanic/Latinx (3–8%) players have notable representation, Black players make up a very small percentage, with a continued decline in black participants at the highest levels. (3) Unlike the NBA where 70%–80% of NBA players are black maintaining a dominant presence in the league for decades, there were no Black golfers in the Players Championship in 2026. Yet, Nike has dismissed its golf target market outright by literally replacing its white customer base with other races, especially black males.
What's even worse is Nike's openly anti-white treatment of its own employee base. "The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) seeks court order for information on Nike's DEI programs and alleged systemic race discrimination against white employees since 2018." (2) The probe examines Nike's 5-year DEI plan to reach 35% racial and ethnic minority representation in its corporate workforce by 2025. The inquiry centers on whether Nike's diversity targets prioritized demographic metrics over individual talent. The question is what is motivating these extreme race based policies? Financially gain and profit?
Nike stock fell to 11-year lows in April 2026, with shares dropping roughly 75% from late 2021 peaks. Many attribute this to backlash over "woke" branding, such as collaborations with Dylan Mulvaney and Colin Kaepernick. The company forecast a surprise 4% drop in Q4 2026 sales, with direct-to-customer sales falling 4%. Stock Price: Nike shares plummeted 75% from their peak in late 2021. (4) So dismissing their target market isn't financial, let's define what a target market is to see why they're not following established marketing and advertising fundamentals?
Nike has gone woke and it is actually going BROKE: -68% in the last 5 years.
A target market is a specific group of consumers most likely to purchase a company’s products or services, identified by shared characteristics like demographics, interests, and buying behaviors. Defining this group matters because it enables tailored messaging, reduces marketing waste, increases sales, and guides product development to ensure high conversion rates and ROI. (5)
Psychographic segmentation focuses on the "why," grouping people based on intrinsic traits like attitudes, values, interests, lifestyle choices, and pain points. This is where brands build deep emotional connections and foster loyalty. Nike, like Hollywood, (7) are intentionally ignoring their base at a massive detriment to their entire companies health not for financial gain, but in the name of "Decolonization and Great Replacement." Progressive narratives supporting demographic replacement. This is not a theory, but a reality—America’s citizens are being displaced by the foreign-born and global corporations like Nike are encouraging the transformation. (6)
Nike once lectured "Don't turn your back on racism," yet anti-white agendas are racism. As Nike continues its woke descent, Adidas continues to launch techonological breakthroughs that improve performance, like their new Adizero which shattered marathon records.
